About RunePlanet
The Beginning:
RuneAddict was created in April 2007, by Aaron. As an experienced Runescape player, I wanted to help share my knowledge, my "addiction" to the game to help out other players, and create a community that would be free to discuss aspects of the game and grow into a good group of friends. As our staff started gaining more and more experience in web design and coding we decided to develop something many other websites had already had, dynamic signatures. Aaron created goal signatures, our second most popular signature type today, to allow people to show off their goals, they were not known well since the Runescape community was not used to signatures of that size. Next one of our admins, Topper4125 created our stat signatures, which utilized great Runescape HD images. Awhile after that I had a brainstorm and developed the signature type that helped develop the name RuneAddict, tracking signatures. Since no other websites had these signatures they spread like wildfire, popping up all over Zybez, and Tip.it, to the point I was contacted by W13 about them.
The Da Legend Age:
A few months after Da Legend369 shut down his website I started trying to get him to start it back up, with no avail I finally gave up. Months before this, while RuneAddict and Da Legend369.com were affiliates someone thought RuneAddict was going to merge with his homepage, this was not our intention, at least not then. A few weeks ago Da Legend and I came up with an idea that would suit us both, teaming up, creating and redesigning RuneAddict to be the best Runescape fansite out there, packed with guides, professionally designed signatures, reviews and a awesome sleek new design. Which is where we begin today, as of May 16th RuneAddict is now jointly owned by myself and Da Legend369.
Today:
Today RuneAddict changed its name to RunePlanet, for many reasons but we still stand for the same thing we always have, we stand to help Runescape players have a good time playing Runescape, help them with guides and reviews, and help them show off their achievements with signatures. We will always be a friendly community for all Runescape players so join us today!
The Future:
RunePlanet has come a long way, and we still have the same mindset as we did in the beginning, helping the players of Runescape and providing a friendly, well designed community and homepage. We will continue to do this as long as possible.
