As most of you know we at RunePlanet have been doing a LOT of work to get recognized by JaGeX as a supported fansite, now we have thoughts on why we haven't been accepted, mostly because of personal reasons that the JaGeX staff have with myself, Da Legend, and Topper. This being said we will no longer be appeasing JaGeX, we will no longer be holding back on our thoughts and feelings about what is wrong with RuneScape (we will not be TARGETING whats wrong, simply stating the facts that other players and fansites are afraid to do so).

I apologize if any of you think this is a bad idea, but we believe the truth is more important than trying to please JaGeX.

Nothing that we write is the thoughts of RunePlanet as a whole, simply the thoughts of said author.

I will be writing my thoughts on the removal of PKing, and a few other actions that have caused players to quit, and grow board of Runescape.

I'd like to make this perfectly clear, we do NOT hate JaGeX, we all believe they did a great job creating a game that entertained many MANY millions of people, but with the growth they lost a few things too, they lost the input from players, now they are getting better at taking players opinions, but its NOTHING like it used to be...but more on that in the blog.

We are an independent fansite, not afraid to speak the truth where others are not, you can hate us, but we only post what we see and believe.

We are an fansite BY the players, FOR the players, no censorship.

Also I'd like to make another point, we WILL still be enforcing SOME of their rules, autoing, account selling/buying stuff like that is NOT aloud here, but we arnt doing that for them, we are doing it because it just leads to problems.

ya... we're not ANTI-Rules, or even really anti-jagex/runescape... We're just pro-honestly. When we see a problem with the game we've played and loved for years, we're gonna say it, and not be fearful of any consequences (like fansite's that are affiliated with Jagex will be... they don't wanna loose that affiliation status once they have it).

Point being...ZYBEZ, which I will be talking about in a blog post, exposing the truth about why they were kicked out after being accepted.

Sorry but this is what we've decided, if you wish to resign as part of the staff we understand and hold no grudges. I'd rather spread the truth than let this continue.

We are a FAN site, we are doing whats best for the FANS, not JaGeX, letting them continue on this path is NOT what is best for the players.

Its kinda like the Matrix, would you rather live a lie or expose the truth. What do you have to lose, they cant ban you for what you believe or write. Odds are they will realize their mistakes when they are called on them.

I'm by no means saying that I wish to resign. My mindset is that this is a game, you can't take it too seriously. If we start focusing on pointing out Jagex's faults I'm afraid we'll get away from our true, original goal of providing signatures, information, and a nice community to talk about what we want on a game we all love.

I've been planning this for awhile, and as soon as Topper finally got tired of it the same way I did we made the choice, yet I'm still working on this fansite, I edited about 40 images yesterday and added them to the signatures, because I dont agree with what they do dosnt mean I'm going to focus any less on what we do, you should know me better than that.

And like I've said, I've felt like this for years. If I was going to change, I would have. Like I said I dont hate JaGeX, but the truth needs to be said. I enjoy coding to much to stop working on things I've spent years working on, and letting down a community. I cant speak for Topper but I'm fairly certain he'd never leave either.

I agree with you totally, although Jagex has done good in the last few updates, Colored Abbysal Whips, Nomad's Requiem, Rune Mechanics..... Although they should bring The Old Wilderness back to certain worlds, and not all worlds. Oh, and dont get too anti-jagex please lol.
